I had no idea what I had been writing. Most of my titles were in Texan style. And I end up in Texas !! Austin to be specific. How/why no answers..but I am here.
Austin brands itself with the phrase "Keep Austin Weird". Although I have seen a lot of weird stuff here, it is not weird enough. All the weird things I have seen so far are prevalent in the whole of USA. I have been told that the weird stuff begins from Fall and I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I have watched more than a thousand Hollywood movies in my lifetime and yet this experience is totally new. I realize that Clint Eastwood's movies are a fictitious work of art. Never will you find cowboys blazing guns and the shootouts and duels..aaah..all of them in the movies only.
The classroom culture is glaringly different. Read before you come to the class. Discuss,argue and present crazy personal experiences in the class, thats what it is all about. No time to breathe once the classes are done - assignments,readings take all the time. All I can scrape in are the Friday or Saturday beer nights.
At the end of the first term two things are very clear to me. "Como estas" means "How are you" and the rupee to dollar value has risen 20% at the wrong time. hmmm..all y'all need to know is that the latter is definitely WEIRD..!!
